Sunset Avenue Ceramic is the creation of Stefanie Dean based out of Indianapolis.

I hand-build and throw stoneware clay. I love to create bold, graphic silhouettes working from a recurring personal vocabulary of sun faces, florals, animals, and house forms rooted in folk pottery traditions. Saturated glaze with speckled textures keep the surfaces tactile and grounded, holding the tension between handmade unevenness and graphic clarity. My work spans functional and sculptural forms, but use is always the intent.
